My name is Alex Powell. I was born in Miami in 2007, but my Jamaican heritage and a racing legacy from my father, John—an accomplished rally driver—have fueled my passion for motorsport from the very start. I began karting in 2015, quickly rising through the Caribbean and U.S. circuits before heading to Europe in 2018. Joining the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Junior Programme in 2019 was a huge honor, and it motivated me to push my limits even further across international competitions.

After a successful spell in the OK karting category—finishing runner-up in the FIA Karting European Championship—I took the leap to single-seaters at the end of 2023 with Prema. I raced full-time in F4 the following season, gaining invaluable experience and achieving multiple podiums. Now, I’m excited to continue my journey with R-ace GP in 2025, determined to keep pushing boundaries and representing my Jamaican-American roots at the highest levels of racing.
