The highly rated American driver moves into the series with clear momentum after a rapid rise from karting into competitive Formula 4 racing.
Born in Miami in 2007, Powell is shaped by a truly international background. His father is from Jamaica and an accomplished rally driver. Raised in Miami while spending formative years in Trinidad and Tobago, he began karting there in 2015, racing across the Caribbean and U.S. scene before moving to Europe, relocating to Italy at age 11 to commit fully to the highest level of competition.
After finishing runner-up in the FIA Karting European Championship in the OK category, Powell transitioned to cars at the end of 2023, gaining his first single-seater experience with Prema Racing in the closing rounds of the Italian F4 season.
That learning phase quickly turned into results. Powell opened 2024 with a standout campaign in F4 UAE, taking his first car-racing victory and finishing sixth overall, an immediate statement in only his second series at this level. He then returned to Europe for a full Italian F4 season, establishing himself as a consistent front-runner in one of the strongest junior fields. Importantly, Powell also competed full-time in F4 again in 2025, continuing to build racecraft, consistency, and performance across a second complete season.
Now, the focus shifts to Eurocup 3 with Campos Racing. The Spanish team is one of the most established names in European single-seaters, with a broad presence across the formula ladder up to Formula 2 and a long record of success. For Powell, the move represents a clear progression: more performance, more complexity, and a bigger stage to keep sharpening his speed and racecraft.
With a strong foundation from two full seasons of F4 and a new chapter with Campos underway, Powell enters this next step with a simple target: start strong, learn fast, and keep building.
